Insurance & Coverage
We accept both self-pay and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. Prior to your first session, we encourage you to contact us so we can help verify your benefits and ensure you clearly understand any co-pays or out-of-pocket costs. If we are an out-of-network provider for your plan, we can provide superbills for potential reimbursement or discuss flexible out-of-pocket payment options. Our goal is to make the administrative process as worry-free as possible, so you can focus fully on your therapy journey.
Practice Policies
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
To respect the time reserved for each client, appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to a late cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled appointment fee.
Clients who do not attend a scheduled appointment without notice ("no-show") will also be charged 50% of the scheduled appointment fee.
Exceptions may be made in cases of medical emergencies, family emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances at the discretion of the practice.

Repeated missed appointments can interfere with the therapeutic process and limit appointment availability for other clients. Clients who accumulate more than four late cancellations and/or no-shows may be subject to review and potential discharge from the practice, with appropriate referrals provided when clinically indicated.

Electronic Health Record (EHR)
The Boylan Effect uses SimplePractice, a secure, HIPAA-compliant electronic health record (EHR) platform, to manage appointments, clinical documentation, billing, and secure communication. Clients can access forms, appointment information, and the client portal through SimplePractice with confidence that their information is protected.Â
